How To Turn Yourself Into An Exercise Addict
Exercising is one of the best things you can begin doing to improve your health, confidence and overall happiness, but it is often a struggle to get into a continuous routine. Many people will stick with it for a week or two and then start making excuses to avoid it at all cost. These five tips will have you going from the excuse makers to an exercise addict in no time.
How To Stick With An Exercise Routine:
1.) Exercise in the morning.
When it comes to starting an exercise routine you want to get it done and over with first thing in the morning. Wake up earlier to get a 30 minute workout before you start the rest of your day. Not only will this make you feel a hundred times better as your day goes on, but leaving it till evening leads you to a bigger chance of not exercising at all. When you get it done and over with in the morning you do not let any other distraction to keep you from working out later, which is what most often happens.
2.) Stay dedicated for at least six weeks.
A habit is typically formed within a 30-day time frame, but exercise will take a little bit longer to make a habit since you will not be doing it every single day. Dedicate at least six weeks to a regular workout routine and soon it will just become a part of your daily life.
3.) Find the right exercise routine for you.
There are so many different types of exercises you can stick with but you may have to experiment first. Maybe you are not the cross fit type, but can get into doing yoga every other day. 4.) Find A Buddy.
Many times you just need someone to be accountable to. When you have a workout buddy, you will be more likely to stick with your workout routine and the both of you can motivate and push each other. If you do not have a friend or buddy you can get to jump on the fitness wagon with you, then seek out a trainer or fitness coach. There are many that do virtual training session so it can really work better around your schedule.
