1. Focus on fun outdoor or exercise activities rather than an exercise routine
Did you know that exercising too much under stress causes a dangerous chemical in the body called cortisol? Cortisol makes your body hold on to fat so don’t fret too much if you can’t complete the Insanity Workout (unless you love the workout too much to stop, then that is a different story).
Focusing on a fun exercise routine is even more important that willpower because willpower is a limited resource, but fun activities doesn’t tax your willpower. It could be anything from running around the park, playing with your kids, going to a Body Combat class and pretending you’re Bruce Lee (you can shout like him in class), or even playing Dance Dance Revolution!
Just think of something fun. Mixing fun with movement will help you lose weight faster than dragging your bum to the gym.
2. Focus on holistic health
Manifesting good health isn’t about popping pills but getting good sleep, reducing your stress levels, being emotionally in balance and laughing a lot each day.
Gone are the days of treating your body like a machine. Even a machine needs maintenance and rest. Imagine if you never took your car to a repair shop. Your body is just like a car. Make sure you take good care of it.
3. Surround yourself with positive people
You would be surprised that positive people has a very good impact on your health. If you hang around negative people all the time, you will be joining them in a party called pity. Gathering with these people will only force you to listen to them complain about how sucky their lives are.
Aren’t you more than that? You are not born negative. You are taught negativity by your negative friends and people like them. But you have a choice – you can unlearn what you learn and make positivity a new habit. People who help you, challenge you and make you laugh.
